Here are the awards which led to Carina being crowned Miss England
The BEAUTY WITH A PURPOSE award
All 60 Miss England finalists are given the challenge of raising funds for the Miss World charity Beauty with a Purpose which helps disadvantaged children around the world. Carina was the top fundraiser – raising over £8000!
The BEACH BEAUTY award
Twelve Miss England finalists were selected to appear in a beach fashion photo shoot modeling swimwear from www.justemoi.co.uk
Here is Carina on the shoot modeling a Bikini by Heidi Klein in Torquay Marina.
The days of the swimwear parade on stage in heels and swimwear have been replaced with a beach fashion swimwear shoot in an appropriate setting.
The Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority chose the winner of Beach Beauty and Carina was chosen as the best swimwear model.
For winning this award Carina had been invited to visit Mauritius.
The FRESH MODELESQUE award
Carina was selected by the Fresh Academy – the photographic partner for Miss England, as the most photogenic contestant.
The MISS ECO award
All 60 contestants were given a brief to make an Ascot themed Eco outfit to open the Miss England finals show. Carina created Audrey Hepburn’s iconic Ascot dress from ‘My Fair Lady’, 1964, from a wedding dress she bought from Oxfam.
Since winning Carina has appeared on television and radio and in many national newspapers including The Daily Mail, The Times, The Daily Telegraph, The Metro, The Independent, The Sun, The Daily Star, The Daily Express, The Daily Mirror, The Business Insider, and continues to create media interest with her doctoring skills and her participation in Miss World.
